Crew Leader A Crew Leader is to be an apprentice to the foreman and become his right hand man and an extension of the foreman's authority to get the job done. In this position the Crew Leader will learn the duties and skills required to be a foreman and represent Infratech Corporation. It will be the Crew Leader's responsibility to fill in for the foreman and direct the crew as the foreman directs. This job is a vital position requiring overall knowledge of the complete job and all positions. It is critical that the Crew Leader know and follow Safety Systems and Emergency Procedures. The Crew leader must know and understand the underground utility excavation notification laws. The Crew Leader assist and direct the crew in correctly backfilling pits and holes, know how to safely do stub-ups and tie-ins, as well lay sod, and do site restoration. It will also be important that the Crew Leader be able to demonstrate to new crew members how to safely and correctly do the task in their classification. The Crew leader will learn the administrative requirements of the foreman's position including recording, reporting, and investigative techniques in reporting utility hits and other incidents. |
