Foreman
Foreman is a manager position. The Foreman represents the company's interests in the field
and protects Infratech Corporation assets. The Foreman is responsible for the overall operation
and execution of projects including, the Crew, site safety, the equipment, the jobs and their
scheduling, and customer relations. This job is a vital position requiring overall knowledge of the
complete job and all positions. It is critical that the Foreman ensures that crew members know
and follow Safety Systems, have knowledge of OSHA and DOT regulations and know
Emergency Procedures.

The Foreman must know and understand the underground utility excavation notification laws.
The Foreman must be able to demonstrate to new crew members how to safely and correctly
do the task in their classification and ensure that they use all applicable safety procedures. The
Foreman will direct the crew in correctly backfilling pits and holes, know how to safely do
stub-ups and tie-ins, as well lay sod, and is responsible for complete site restoration. One of
the principle and critical responsibilities of the Foreman's position is the administrative
requirements that he must perform without fail. Among these are recording job site information,
as-builts, Daily Field Reports, Utility Hits, Accident Reports, investigative techniques in
reporting, conducting Safety Meetings and Tool Box Talks, as well as communicating
employee information to the office.

The Foreman needs to understand principals of how the drill works and making a good hole,
how the right drilling fluids work, and drilling techniques. The Foreman must know what the best
set up for the drill in given situations. The Foreman needs to understand how to visualize and
tech-in a shot. The Foreman is responsible to make sure that all crew members know and are
able to do their jobs and get the necessary training for their job. At the completion of a job, it is
the foreman's responsibility to do a post-project follow through and clean-up procedures, then
follow through with the inventory of the work and clearing of the billing procedure.
